Waking up filled with love and gratitude for Sonom Waking up filled with love and gratitude for Sonoma County after a wonderful wine dinner spent under the stars with Jenny Jackson, Don Hartford, and @hartfordfamilywinery Winemaker Tiaan Lordan at John Ash & Co at @vintnersresort. 💫The first winemaker dinner hosted since @jacksonfamilywines acquisition of Vintners Resort last month. Thank you to my SF sister @beckhopkinswine for being by my side. 👯‍♀️ We enjoyed a savory farm-to-table cuisine from Executive Chef Tom, Chef de Cuisine Dylan Ghadiri, and Pastry Chef Desirée, curating a wonderful pairing menu that complements the versatility of Hartford’s portfolio, featuring varieties of Rose of Pinot Noir, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel Port. 🍇🍷#sonomacounty #californiawinecountry

I'm thrilled to share some news with you all that I'm thrilled to share some news with you all that I have been sitting on for some time… In what can best be described as a combination of Steve Jobs connecting the dots backwards and my relentless pursuit to keep pushing forward with purpose... I am thrilled to share with you all that starting TOMORROW the new season of Wine Oh! TV will broadcast on TV and online Sundays at 4:30pm on CBS Bay Area this summer. Our lead in? The iconic San Francisco Stern Grove Festival. The irony? Stern Grove is one block from our old house, we could hear the concerts from our living room, our first episode will broadcast on Father’s Day. 💙 I don’t have the words to sum up all of my gratitude to those of you who got me here. My new journey began a year ago, and a few key players stepped up and supported me with no questions asked. No requests for media kits, numbers of clicks, or potential reach. They stood beside me with only this guarantee: I will pour my heart and soul into creating a beautiful story about your region and your community. With the purpose of bringing people together, by breaking bread, opening up a bottle and connecting through culture and community this is the new half-hour version of Wine Oh! TV I’m currently the same age as the age we lost Mark and that is never lost on me. I believe he would be proud of what we created and my decision to team up with the very TV station that brought us together. I moved to San Francisco in 2009 to work at KPIX and had I not made that move Mark and I would have never reconnected. Two years later, I would go on to meet one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever met in the TV news business. Thank you to Scott Warren for your support over the years, for this incredible opportunity, and for believing in me, the wine community, and our show. Our first episode Wine Oh! TV will broadcast on TV and online tomorrow at 4:30pm and I’ll see you all at Stern Grove!!!!! Happy Father's Day! 💛

Honored to spend the afternoon with Pierre Seillan Honored to spend the afternoon with Pierre Seillan tasting through his incredible lineup Vérité 2019 and 2008 La Muse, La Joie and Le Desir. Pierre Seillan has spent over five decades dedicated to crafting world-class wines. With one vision in mind, the late Jess Jackson asked Pierre “Can you make a Merlot as good as Petrus?” Pierre responded, “I can do better!” With that @veritewines was born. With 1998 as the first vintage the El Nino year still managed to pull off perfection. The next vintage 1999 was an incredible year and the reason there is virtually none left to taste. Pierre credits the micro climates of Sonoma County as the reason he’s able to make a world class wines that stand the test of time. Bordeaux blends coming out of Sonoma County with each of the main grapes having its own unique personality. I asked Pierre to sum up the personality of his three main grapes in one word, here’s how he described them: Merlot is shy, Cabernet Sauvignon is Macho, and Cabernet Franc is subtle. What I love about wine is the people behind the bottle, the community it creates, and the stories that are passed on from generation to generation. Pierre’s story is one of family, it’s one of legacy, it’s one of community. His family and the Jackson Family are so closely united as one family that stands the test of time much like their wine.
