Sonoma Chefs Make Food that Makes a Difference

Duskie Estes The Good LifeFarm-to-table phenomenons, Duskie Estes and John Stewart, first set up shop in Sonoma 15 years ago, long before snout-to- tail rolled off the tongue.

In 2001, they opened ZAZU restaurant + farm, right in the heart of the cornucopia of California. Together these chefs turned farmers are giving new meaning to the phrase food for thought.

In this video, the well-known King and Queen of pork show us, when it comes to making food that’s making a difference, there’s no place like Sonoma.

Duskie Estes, Chef/Farmer

“People really don’t want to know about the whole animal. If we serve a fish and they say can you cut the head off? I’m like no, you got to look that fish in the eye!”

I’m excited to announce, the video you just watched is part of a pilot I produced called The Good Life. The Good Life uplifts and inspires audiences by celebrating diversity and showcasing everyday men and women from all walks of life who are living their version of the good life.
