2022 Ferrari-Carano Fumé Blanc $21

One of the first two wines Ferrari‐Carano ever made 40 years ago, our Fumé Blanc is comprised of Sauvignon Blanc grapes from Sonoma County and North Coast California. When the grapes arrive at the winery, each lot is gently crushed and pressed into stainless steel tanks for 48 hours of cold settling. The juice is either transferred to stainless steel tanks or older French oak barrels for fermentation. The wine in barrels is sur lie aged and stirred every other week for two months, then blended and bottled.

Mother’s Day Menu: Crab Eggs Benedict. The bright acidity of the wine pairs nicely with the creaminess of the poached egg and hollandaise sauce.

Sip & Spoil Mom: Sip Channé  Channé Blanc & Rosé Bundle $55.00

Channé Blanc is a traditional Provence-style blend of Sémillon & Ugni Blanc. Smooth, dry, no sugar, long, balanced on the roundness with no tannins. Think hints of floral, quince, lemon, apricot and acacia flowers. This white is truly unparalleled. We could not be more proud to bring this gorgeous varietal from our vineyard right to your hands. Channé Blanc grapes are grown on the hills right outside of St. Tropez on clay limestone soil with the shade of a big pine forest, which add the fresh aromas to this blend. Think hints of floral, quince, lemon, apricot and acacia flowers… and smooth, dry and luminous.

Channé Rose is comprised of a proprietary blend of classic French grapes: Grenache, Cinsault and Mourvèdre. This special selection of fruit highlights 3 separate soils of Côtes de Provence. Elegant, crisp, and rounded with hints of apricot and cherry, Channé Rosé stands apart as a revelatory sipping experience.

Mother’s Day Menu by Founder and Mom Kavita Channé: Our Channé Rosé pairs beautifully with Eggs Benedict, as the rich hollandaise sauce is balanced by the wine’s light, fruity taste and bright acidity. But that’s not all – it also pairs perfectly with smoked or baked salmon, rosemary lamb chops and grilled vegetables. Channé Blanc oysters and caviar, you’ll love pairing them with Channé Blanc. You can also try it with Asian-style hamachi or tuna tartare, succulent pineapple chicken fried rice or roasted branzino with caper butter. And for a heartier option, pair it with a roasted chicken and a medley of perfectly roasted vegetables.

Naidu Wines Brut Rosé $45

Brut Rosé, crafted from a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, exudes an inviting pink hue and offers a palate of ripe strawberry intertwined with hints of cream and spice. Its rounded mouthfeel, enhanced by a fine mousse, beautifully balances the menu’s richness, providing a burst of freshness and fruitiness that culminates in a crisp, clean finish.

Naidu Wines is based in Sebastopol on a five-acre Pinot vineyard. In Raghni Naidu’s first vintage (’21), she got on the list at Single Thread and Gary Danko. Before her second wines were released (Grenache Blanc, Viognier, Cab Franc, Pinots) hers were the featured wines at Beard dinners last month in Chicago and NY. And last week her wines were poured at the British Consulate in SF, which honored Indian American accomplishments in the diaspora.

Mother’s Day Menu by Founder and Mom Raghni Naidu: First Course: Caviar and Bellinis, Main Course: Croque Monsieur with Frisée Salad, Dessert: Lemon Meringue Tart. Personally, enjoying this wine on Mother’s Day fills me with pride, not only because of its perfect pairing with our meal but also due to the recognition of receiving “Best In Class” for our Brut Rosé at the 2024 SF Chronicle Wine Competition. It’s a poignant reminder of the dedication and hardwork made while pursuing my vision, even amidst time spent away from family. Mother’s Day is a cherished occasion filled with moments of togetherness and decadence for me, typically spent enjoying quality time with my children and husband. In our family, it’s a tradition to prepare and savor meals collectively, followed by a round of golf.
