On Sunday, August 26 from 11:30 to 5:00 PM at Camp Arroyo, nestled in the beautiful South Livermore Hills, an event featuring wine and food will commence to help raise money for a good cause. The 22nd annual Taylor Family Foundation’s Day in the Park, a premier epicurean event will feature gourmet food from local bay area restaurants and wine tastings from top wineries in the Livermore Valley to Napa. With funds raised, campers at the park will experience therapeutic recreation, specialized support, thoughtful meals, and healthy snacks all for free surrounded around children similar to themselves.
Each year, The Taylor Family Foundation strives to uphold the mission of the camp: to preserve the wellness and enhance the quality of life for children in Northern California living with life-threatening and chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities, and youth at-risk. The support from the funds raised at Day in the Park gives Camp Arroyo the ability to change the lives of children living with diabetes, pediatric cancers, skin disease, congenital heart disease, asthma, HIV/AIDS, autism, Crohn’s and many more, as well as proving aid and respite for their parents and guardians.
Day in the Park invites over 1,100 guests to experience and sample from 70 wineries, breweries, and restaurants. Over 300 volunteers help put on a first class event for all to enjoy! After the epicurean ensemble, guests will be escorted into a grand tent for the spirited live auction. Guests will be seated at tables and treated to a live performance by Shauna Morrison and served snacks, treats, and wine. Live auctions lots feature trips to New Mexico, Las Vegas, New York and the Caribbean!
